KINDNESS & CONFETTI Every Day2 bas

November 13th was designated World Kindness Day in 1998 by World Kindness Movement, a coalition of nations kindness NGOs  observed in many countries around the world each year.

World Kindness Day is to highlight good deeds in the community focusing on the positive power and the common thread of kindness which binds us. Kindness is a fundamental part of the human condition which bridges the divides of race religion, politics, gender and zip codes. Kindness Cards are also an ongoing activity which can either be passed on to recognize an act of kindness and or ask that an act of kindness be done. Approaches are being made to the United Nations by the peak global body, The World Kindness Movement to have World Kindness Day officially recognized and its members unanimously sign a Declaration of Support for World Kindness.

According to Gulf News, “it is a day that encourages individuals to overlook boundaries, race and religion…”

It’s wonderful to have a special day designated to recognize and celebrate kindness around the world.  In fact, every day is a perfect day to throw kindness around like confetti to everyone we meet. Random Acts of Kindness are contagious and they count! ~ Bette A. Stevens

  1. How ironic that THIS November 13th was marked by a vicious, barbaric terrorist attack in Paris. Perhaps we can all say a silent prayer for those innocent souls affected by the violence.

  3. This is a wonderful idea. My husband and I started daily RAC’s when our children were young. Whether it is to smile at someone who needs a smile, to hold the door for someone, or whatever small act you can perform for others each day. We have paid for others groceries, car repairs, or whatever we were able to do at any given time. All we ask is that when they are able to do so, that they pay it forward.

    • What a wonderful concept for the family, Michelle. I can imagine the joy and lasting memories you’ve so graciously passed along that will continue to bloom through the years. I use the RAC concept in the classroom too… It was exciting for all of us and the rewards were priceless. Enjoy your weekend, dear friend! ❤
