  1. What a great book premise! I have a question… do you think it’s harder to write about a time period that is still in living memory, or to write about a period that’s further back in the historical timeline?
I’m not sure of the answer as a historical fiction writer myself, just curious what you think.

    • Hi, Jen. Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit. For me, it’s easier to write about the past, even though it requires more research to give the story authenticity of an era or period. Historical fiction has always been one of my favorite genres to read and as writers, we can use it to present messages and themes that remain universal. What draws you to historical fiction?

  2. A wonderful book, Bette. I love seeing it get all this press! Congratulations. 🙂

  3. I am a day late! Congratulations, Bette. You deserve the recognition.

  4. So sorry I had to miss it. Sounds like a lot of fun.

    • Hi Micki, thanks for stopping by. <3 Great to see you and hope you're feeling better each day, dear friiend. Love, hugs and prayers… xo

  5. Congrats on your blog hop, Bette. Wishing you many sales! It’s a wonderful book! Hugs xx

  6. Really LOVE the book. It’s so original, so American, and I suspect and eye-opener to the many people who think poverty is somehow not a rural New England thing.

Thanks so much for stopping by to join the conversation.
