  1. Thanks for sharing!.. I had a teacher tell me (high school 1958) that the day I need not gather anymore knowledge was the day of my funeral…. 🙂

  2. This is creative and inspiring…

  3. Perfect! A great lead into your next post, Bette. Think of all the billions of us who’ve read Seuss. <3 He was a genius.

    • A genius, indeed! Dr. Seuss give us enough inspiration to help us #GetCaughtReading to the kids for generations to come… OH THE PLACES YOU’LL GO is one of my picks for end of school year. <3 HUGS! xx

  4. I LOVE reading to my grandsons, Bette. And the wackier the story, the better!

    • I know just what you mean, Molly… That’s why we LOVE Dr. Seuss so… Oh, for the love of wild, wacky and wonderful words–they sure help foster a love of reading! <3 xo

  6. Thank goodness I have two granddaughters! I’ll never have to worry about having someone to read to. Dr. Seuss is a good one to start with. 🙂

  7. This speaks to my wacky wild side, Bette! Here’s to keeping it alive in all of us ❤️

  8. This is my favourite in your 3 day quote challenge, Bette! It’s so so true! 😄 Have a fabulous weekend my friend! xxx 💕

    • This is one of my favorite Dr. Seuss quotes too… Perfect for “Get Caught Reading Month” and one we need to remember to follow all year long. <3 Wishing you a fantastic weekend too, dear Sarah! xo

  9. I absolutely love this one, Bette, and it ties into my fear of children nowadays being more plugged in to their screens than reading books. I’m so grateful my children were older before technology really took hold. They loved their books then, and as young adults now, even though they have their screens, they still love to read. xo

    • I’m with you all the way, Lauren. It’s ever so important to read to and with children in today’s digital society. Nothing like sharing a book in the real world… <3 Happy Reading to you and your family every day! xo

  10. Yeah, Dr Seuss!! 😀😀 Not wild or wacky! The most natural thing on Earth! Great final quote, Bette! Hugs ❤️

  11. What a great quote – so true!

  16. I like the quote Bette and it is an important one.
I would like to add that anyone who can read can read for someone else.

    • You are so right, Miriam! It’s so simple. Together we can all make the world a better place–one child, one book at a time… 🙂 xo

  17. Great quote, Bette–and so true! It’s how I acquired my love of reading at an early age!
