  1. Lovely! Nice meeting you this way!
    ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ’™

  2. Bette, this is so true. It’s the character traits that are the heart and soul of a novel. Lots of love and hugs. ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ’—

  3. That is so true, Bette. And it’s probably the most difficult to create in a novel. I don’t see myself as one people fall in love with (my words and attitudes) so it’s difficult to find a model.

    • Depending on genre and/or storyline, sometimes for me it’s a fascination the author creates in the character(s),,, ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit, Jacqui.

  4. So true, Bette, and there’s nothing better than a book that can’t be put down because of becoming so enamored with the characters. Have a good weekend! ๐Ÿ’—

    • Thanks, Lauren. <3 Reading one of those– THE LILAC GIRLS by Martha Kelly. Wishing you a lovely weekend and lots of great reading too! xo

  6. Absolutely! And at times we place ourselves into the character’s adventure!
    Blessings,
    Jennifer

  7. Oooh, isn’t that wonderful? It’s so true. Thanks for sharing, Bette. ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. Yes, I agree completely. Words can be moving and lift us up or tear us down. They are the essence of life itself. Thank you for sharing these beautiful words, Bette. Hugs xx โค๏ธ

  9. Absolutely true. It’s about the emotional bond we form with our characters.
    Beautiful share, Bette.

  10. I love this quote – and as you already know – the same applies even more so when you are writing the book…

  11. A beautiful share, Bette.

  12. So true…some characters leave an indelible mark on our minds! Thanks for sharing Bette.

Thanks so much for stopping by to join the conversation.
