Beast of a blizzard
Tromping in to surprise us
Sweet dreams disrupted
“During February and March, I’ll be getting my first poetry collection—MY MAINE, Haiku through the Seasons—ready for publication. I invite you to take a peek at a sampling of haiku from the Winter Tales chapter. I’m looking for a few ARC reader/reviewers for pre-publication blurbs by month’s end. You can let me know in the comments section below. Thanks so much for your continued support”

Lovely haiku. Sometimes those winter storms just sneak up on you like that. The weather can change in just a blink of an eye. Stay safe and warm. Good luck writing your poetry collection 🙂

Bette,
I appreciate you taking the time to read my Tuesday Coffee poem (Little Miracle) at Eugenia’s place BrewNSpew yesterday. Maine is a beautiful state. We’ve had the pleasure to vacation there a few times over the years and now our youngest daughter lives in Sabbatus. She’s been a resident since Nov. 2017. Anyhow, I enjoyed reading this little verse and I did a quick hop to check out your hiatus sample for your upcoming new book.
Please let me know if I can help you promote your book(s) anytime. I’m always happy to help when I can. Speaking of which I need to get a book launch post together for Jacqui that needs to go live on March 21. 🙂 Have a wonderful Wednesday!
Your new friend from East TN & veteran Homeschool mom of three! 😉

Hi, Cathy!
Thanks so much for taking time to chat and for your generous offer of support. Delighted to discover that we have those Maine connections. I’m in the process of formatting “MY MAINE, Haiku through the Seasons” and would love to have your help for the launch, which should be in late April. Also ,I’m looking for ARC Readers for pre-release blurbs for front matter of book and back cover. Let me know if you’re interested.
Meanwhile, I’ve got to get Jacqui’s Launch Post ready too. Featuring her new book here on March 11. So glad that we’ve connected. Have a great week and enjoy you early spring!
P.S. Loved your verse of the day… that good old Golden Rule. ❤
Blessings,
Bette

One measure of how good a piece of writing is might be how annoyed I am that I didn’t write it. Case in point:
I went to Diana’s site earlier this month and stared at the prompt for quite a while. I stared at it some more. I had nothing.
Went back again. Still nothing. Grrr. I just couldn’t reconcile the surrealistic elements.
And then you do it with such apparent ease here, and in such a way that OF COURSE this is what this image is about. There’s a beautiful inevitability in that feeling for me, as in how could that prompt be about anything else?
Well done, Bette. Love the poem. 🙂
