Season of Blossoms a Haiku by Bette A. Stevens

Inspired by nature

Apple Blossom HAIKU bas 2015Spring has sprung and apple trees are shouting about it here at the farmstead in Central Maine. After a long winter’s nap their branches are bursting into bloom. With temperatures in the 70s and sunshine in full array (Oh, but rain predicted to be on its way…), this writer is shouting about it too. Inspired by another of nature’s wonders ~ Bette A. Sunbeam Melodies: HAIKU by Bette A. Stevens

Sunbeam composing HAIKU bas 2015

Spring Magic?

I was fortunate to capture spring’s magical beams composing melodies on our daffodils along the walkway to the Farmstead late last week. Naturally, I got inspired. Grabbed the Cannon, downloaded several images to my laptop and played around with photo editor. I’m a writer inspired by nature who loves to capture the moments and to create new images too. What’s inspiring you?

April is National Poetry Month: What are you writing?

Velveteen Faces HAIKU bas 2015I’m planning to write a poem each week during National Poetry month. Here’s my latest, a haiku inspired by a photo from last year’s spring garden since snow is still in mid-melt stage here in Central Maine. Ah, spring!

What are you writing this month?

Blooms Season Rhapsody BAS 2015

What are you writing?

Here’s a Spring Haiku from me. Snow is still covering the ground here in Central Maine, but I’m looking forward to watching those new blooms appear. I’ll be listening for their song. ~ Bette A. Stevens
