Hi Bette, I had a doctor’s appointment yesterday when the interview was live but I got to listen today. It was so nice hearing your voice and so cool to have tweets coming in while you spoke. The interview went great and I liked the way Nancy tied in ‘Matilda’ with ‘Dogbone Soup’. All in all it was enjoyable to hear andI’m so glad I was able to today.

    Much Love, Micki

Thanks so much for the listen and the love. Hope all is well with you and yours. Dan is recovering nicely from surgery, now for all those follow-ups. At our age, it seems medical appointments are the rule of the day. Sending Much Love right back to you, my dear friend! ❤

Bette, I was out shopping when this came on but got to listen to it after the fact. Great interview. I love the idea of writing these books so that people are aware of the living situation in many homes.

And you sound exactly as I thought you would. You use the word ‘mum’ instead of ‘mom.’ Are you originally from Great Britain?

Hi, Sharon. Thanks bunches for taking time to listen in and leave your thoughtful comment. Born in NY, grew up in CA & NY, my own mother was MOM and later MAMA to me. ‘Mum’ was used in DOG BONE SOUP to represent Henrietta’s unique character in in the story. Thanks for the great question! 🙂
