The beauty of a woman Is not in the clothes she wears,
The figure that she carries, Or the way she combs her hair.

The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes,
Because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides.

The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole,
But true beauty in a woman Is reflected in her soul.

It is the caring that she lovingly gives,
The passion that she shows,
And the beauty of a woman
With passing years only grows.

  4. How wonderful. Apparently, Audrey Hepburn was beautiful on the inside as well as the outside. A true model of excellence in everything she did.

    • For me, Audrey was always an actress to look up to, especially during my teen years. When I found this lovely poem, I understood the universal appeal of her beauty–her inside/out appeal was magnetic. How fortunate we were to have her. Beauty and kindness were her trademark. Have a wonderful week, my dear friend. ❤

  6. I never thanked you for this beautiful poem which I reblogged in March. (When I goof, ‘I do it up good)’. I didn’t know if you knew it was only a day or two before my birthday, but wanted you to know that I felt it was directed to me. That is the mark I guess of a good writer and I was thrilled to know of this additional talent. She was a special lady from all accounts and was worthy of your post. I’m sure many, like me, were happy to read this poem.

    • Hi, Marie. Thanks so much for stopping by for a chat. So happy to hear you were blessed in a special way by Audrey Hepburn’s poem. Audrey was a beautiful woman and indeed a role model for many Boomer gals like me. Blessings! ❤
