The Beauty of a Woman
The beauty of a woman Is not in the clothes she wears,
The figure that she carries, Or the way she combs her hair.
The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes,
Because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides.
The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole,
But true beauty in a woman Is reflected in her soul.
It is the caring that she lovingly gives,
The passion that she shows,
And the beauty of a woman
With passing years only grows.

I never thanked you for this beautiful poem which I reblogged in March. (When I goof, ‘I do it up good)’. I didn’t know if you knew it was only a day or two before my birthday, but wanted you to know that I felt it was directed to me. That is the mark I guess of a good writer and I was thrilled to know of this additional talent. She was a special lady from all accounts and was worthy of your post. I’m sure many, like me, were happy to read this poem.

For me, Audrey was always an actress to look up to, especially during my teen years. When I found this lovely poem, I understood the universal appeal of her beauty–her inside/out appeal was magnetic.
